Free Wedding Ceremonies

Gwinnett County Probate Court



The Gwinnett County Probate Court invites you to participate in our free wedding ceremonies, held every Friday afternoon. English-conducted ceremonies will be scheduled at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm, while Spanish-conducted ceremonies will take place at 2:00 pm. All ceremonies will be conducted in a group setting.

   
   

Requirements

Reservations are required. To participate in the group wedding ceremony, please make an appointment online.

Attendees should arrive 15 minutes prior to the ceremony (plan for parking and court security delays).

Couples must check in upon arrival at the table located outside of the GJAC Jury Space, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The GJAC Jury Space is located on the 2nd floor of the atrium, near the escalators. Please note that the location is subject to change. Notices of any location change will be posted at the GJAC Jury Space and Courtroom 1-H.

Upon checking in, Couples must present a valid Georgia marriage license and photo identification.

It is strongly advised that you do not wait to get your marriage license until the day of the ceremony as it could take an hour or more to process your paperwork. You may print and complete the application form here: Marriage Application Packet.

Fees

There is no fee for your wedding ceremony, which will be hosted by the Gwinnett County Probate Court for the benefit of the community.

The cost of obtaining a marriage license is $56.00 or $16.00 with proof of premarital education. Marriage certificates and/or certified copies of the marriage application are $10.00 each.
