Traffic Diversion Program
General Information
Welcome to the Gwinnett County Juvenile Court Traffic Diversion Program. As home to one of the largest populations of young drivers in the State of Georgia, Gwinnett County Juvenile Court, is committed to promoting safe driving habits, accountability, and responsible decision-making among youth drivers.
The Traffic Diversion Program provides eligible youth with an opportunity to take responsibility for traffic-related offenses while avoiding fines, points on their driver’s license, and the creation of a permanent court record. Participants who successfully complete all program requirements may have their citation(s) dismissed.

Program Benefits
Driver Education and Skill Development
Participants are required to complete approved traffic safety and educational courses designed to strengthen their understanding of Georgia traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and the consequences of unsafe driving behaviors. These courses encourage youth to become safer, more informed, and responsible drivers.
Protection of Driving Record
Successful completion of the program prevents points from being added to the participant’s driver’s license. Maintaining a clean driving record may help reduce the risk of increased insurance premiums and lessen the impact of future traffic violations.
Program Requirements
Required Course Completion
Participants must complete two (2) approved courses by selecting one of the following combinations:
- Traffic Violators Impact Program (TVIP) and Arrive Alive at 25; Or
- Traffic Violators Impact Program (TVIP) and an approved Defensive Driving Course; Or
- Arrive Alive at 25 and an approved Defensive Driving Course
Participants must upload certificates of completion for both courses as instructed.
Please Note: Completing two Defensive Driving courses does not satisfy the program requirement.
Supervision Fee
A one-time, non-refundable $100 supervision fee is required for participation in the program.
Completion Deadline
All program requirements must be completed no later than three (3) days before the scheduled Traffic Arraignment Hearing date. Because online courses may require several days or weeks to complete, participants are encouraged to begin the process promptly.
Failure to Complete the Program
Participants who do not complete all required courses and program conditions will be required to appear in court on their assigned hearing date.

Participants must enter the website passcode provided in their paperwork to access the portal. The website includes detailed instructions for resolving eligible traffic citations before the Traffic Arraignment Hearing date.
